If you qualify, a licensed provider issues an LMN that makes your CycleBar spend HSA/FSA-eligible.
03
Pay pre-tax & keep riding
Use your HSA/FSA card, or pay as usual and submit for reimbursement. Same ride, fewer dollars.
Why it qualifies
Movement is medicine.
Exercise is one of the most effective tools for preventing and managing chronic conditions, and the IRS lets you put HSA/FSA funds toward qualified medical care.
When a licensed provider determines that indoor cycling supports your health, your CycleBar membership can become eligible. Same ride. Same room. Pre-tax dollars.
Questions
The short version
What is Truemed?+
Truemed is CycleBar's partner that connects you with licensed providers who can determine whether your HSA/FSA funds can be applied to your fitness spend. CycleBar handles the rides; Truemed handles eligibility.
How much can I actually save?+
Most riders save around 30%* depending on their tax bracket, because HSA/FSA dollars are set aside before taxes are taken out. Your exact savings depend on your plan and tax situation.
What can I pay for?+
Eligible CycleBar memberships and class packages, once a licensed provider has issued you a valid Letter of Medical Necessity through Truemed.
Do I need a specific medical condition?+
Not necessarily. A licensed provider reviews your survey to determine eligibility, and many common health goals qualify. The provider and Truemed make the final determination, not CycleBar.
What if I don't have an HSA or FSA?+
These are tax-advantaged accounts usually offered through an employer. If you don't have one, you won't be able to use this benefit, but it's worth asking your employer or plan administrator whether one is available to you.
Is my health information private?+
Yes. Your survey is handled securely by Truemed and the licensed provider. CycleBar does not see or store your health information.
